2019 Fairfax County Summer Learning Camps and Programs
What are your plans for your kids this summer? Many students take the summer to learn new skills, have fun and make memories with new friends. Fairfax County Public School provides a variety of summer camps, institutes and classes programs that won't break the budget.

2018/2019 Summer Camps and Institutes for 3rd – 11th Graders
Registration is now open! FCPS and non-FCPS students are welcome.
Tech Adventure Camp
Students will have the opportunity to explore careers and technology as they rotate through eight areas over a two-week program. Topics of interest include learning how to do common automotive tasks, convert a flying RC drone into a RC hovercraft and create marketing designs for a bakery business.
Dates/Times: July 15 – July 26, 2019 | 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Fairfax High School
Eligibility: Students in grades 5-7 (during the 2018-19 school year)
Registration: February 4 to June 23, 2019

STEM Camp
Students will experience hands-on activities in renewable energy, 3D design and printing and interactive coding (grades 3-5) or Arduino in Action (grade 8-9).
Dates/Times: Session 1: June 24 - June 28, 2019 | Session 2: July 8 - July 12, 2019 | 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Fairfax High School
Eligibility: Students in grades 3-5 and grades 8-9 (during the 2018-19 school year)
Registration: February 4 to June 23, 2019.

Institute for the Arts (IFTA)
Students pick from over 80 classes in dance, music, art, fashion illustration and design and theatre.
Dates/Times: July 1 – July 26, 2019 (Note: There are no classes on July 4 or July 5) | 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Fairfax High School
Eligibility: Students in grades 6-11 who will enter grades 7-12 during the 2019-20 school year.
Registration: February 4 to June 16, 2019

Elementary Institute for the Arts (E-IFTA)
A great weekly arts camp for children who love to sing, dance, act, perform, make, and create.
Dates/Times:
Week 1: July 8-12
Week 2: July 15-19
Week 3: July 22-26
8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Fairfax High School
Eligibility: Students in grades 3-5 who will enter grades 4-6 during the 2019-20 school year.
Registration:
Week 1: Registration open from February 4 to June 23, 2019.
Weeks 2 and 3: Registration open from February 4 to June 30, 2019.
