Del Ray, Alexandria

Located northwest of Old Town Alexandria, Del Ray was one of the earliest streetcar communities in the country. Founded in 1894, it attracted commuters looking for easy access to Alexandria and DC. Today, you can get to Del Ray easily by Metro at the Braddock Rd Metro Station or by buses servicing the neighborhood. It’s also easily accessible by major roads including Russell Road, Mt. Vernon Avenue and Route 1 with convenient access to I-395 and I-495.

Most of the homes on the tree-lined streets of Del Ray feature a range of architectural styles from the 1890s to the 1940s, including Craftsman Bungalow, Tudor Revival, Folk Revival, FourSquare and others. Del Ray is attractive because it's pedestrian friendly and is located close to business services and other amenities. Del Ray is close to National Landing, home of Amazon second headquarters.
