Summer Events Around Town

It’s June, which means summer has finally arrived! The pools are opening, ice cream trucks are circling our neighborhoods, and it’s time to get outside and enjoy the many exciting events and activities around the DMV. Check out some of the activities we have highlighted in the list below:

Taste of Del Ray (June 4)

Looking for the perfect foodie event for the whole family? The Washington Nationals Games (June 2-8, June 16-21)

June is full to the brim with home games at National Park you don’t want to miss! For the first and third weeks of the month, the Nationals Baseball Team is playing ball here in their home arena in DC. The Lion King (June 22-July 29)

This summer, the Kennedy Center features one of Broadway’s longest running musicals ever: The Lion King! Experience the magic of Disney’s powerful and captivating story, featuring classic songs like “Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” live at the Opera House throughout the months of June and July. The Smithsonian Folklife Festival (June 29-July 4, July 6-9)

The cultural celebration of the summer takes place right at the end of June at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival! Organized by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, this annual event features music, art, crafts and games for attendees to experience and enjoy.
